Stormwater Master Plan

Flooding in front of Great Falls Builders Exchange

The Engineering Division of the Great Falls Public Works Department is soliciting feedback in regards to the proposed changes to the City of Great Falls Stormwater Master Plan.  Comments may be submitted in writing to Mark Juras via the link below, or may be discussed at an open house style meeting to be held on Thursday, August 14th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Civic Center in the Gibson Room, #2 Park Dr S.  The comment period closes on August 15th at 5:00 PM.

The purpose of this document is to update the current and dated Stormwater Master Plan (adopted by the City Commission in February of 1989) and identify a range of macro scale drainage improvements for construction required to address existing system deficiencies and serve the city as it grows.  We encourage the residents of Great Falls who witness any flooding to please report the location and attach pictures, if available, to any emails you submit.  If there are question to the document itself, please reference the page number and/or exhibit number in your submission.  The Great Falls International Airport owns and maintains its own stormwater system and the basin surrounding the airport was not included in this study.
