A transition plan is required for all municipalities per Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The main goal of these plans is to evaluate existing pathways: such as sidewalks, curb cuts and curb ramps to find any barriers; figure out who should remove these barriers; and schedule the needed removal
This plan is administered and maintained by the Public Works Department and is actively being used to define and eliminate barriers to accessibility in the Public Right of Way.
Participation from the public is welcome. There is an ADA complaint/comment/suggestion form posted below that can be used to provide input.
