Minimum Control Measures (MCM)-4 Construction Site Storm Water Management

Construction sites have the potential to increase pollution into the City's MS4 and ultimately degrading the receiving water body. The City of Great Falls construction program is a required component in maintaining water quality in the local water bodies as well as the State General Permit located at the bottom of the page. The City's requirements are located in Title 17 Chapter 48 of the Official Code of the City of Great Falls and are summarized as follows:

• Erosion and sediment can degrade local water bodies.
• Sediment can clog drainage systems, increasing maintenance problems and costs.
• It is imperative to place BMP's before the start of construction.
