Online Utility Bill Payments
The City of Great Falls Utilities Department is excited to announce that the new online portal for utility payments is now enabled. Customers can now view and print bills, process payments, enroll in e-billing, schedule a future payment, and set up auto-pay using a debit card, credit card, or e-check on this new portal. The system will not accept American Express.
To access the new online portal for utility payments, visit https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/greatfallsmt. Click “Sign In/Register” in the upper right hand corner, then “Register,” and create your account. When creating your account, be sure to enter the utility account number and the name exactly as it appears on your bill. Users who receive bills for multiple utility accounts only need to create one online account in the portal, then add in each account. Please note that duplicate payments or overpayments made on the website cannot be refunded. If you accidentally make a duplicate payment or overpay, your next bill will be credited. Forms of payment must be entered correctly or the payment will be returned. Customers with a returned payment will be charged a $30 fee.
Customers can now make payments over the phone. Call 406-727-7660 and pick option 1. When entering your account number, enter all 9 digits without the dash. For example, an account number of 123456-789 will be entered as 123456789.
Customers paying by e-check will be required to enter their routing number and checking account number. The system will repeat the information entered. Customers will be asked to press 1 if the information entered is correct and press 2 if the information is incorrect and needs to be re-entered. It is very important that the information is entered correctly in order for the payment to be processed. If the information is entered incorrectly, the system will still accept it and provide a confirmation number. At the end of the day, when the system attempts to process all of the payments, bank accounts not found due to incorrect information entered by the customer will result in a returned payment, whereby the customer will be charged a $30 fee and the payment will reversed from the customer’s utility account. The City will not waive the $30 fee.
If you have any questions, please call Utilities Customer Service at 406-727-7660 and pick option 2.
