City Planning staff coordinates transportation planning for the Great Falls urban area, serving as staff to the Great Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).  The MPO includes the City Planning Advisory Board, the City of Great Falls, Cascade County, Cascade County Planning Board, Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Great Falls Transit District, and other local, State, and Federal agencies interested in transportation. The bodies that guide the transportation process include the Policy Coordinating Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee. Here is an organizational chart for the MPO.
