Small Works Roster

Introduction

The City of Great Falls has implemented the Small Works Roster (Roster) policy to make it simpler for City departments to get small jobs and repairs, up to $25,000, completed using a list of pre-approved vendors.  The Roster will include vendors that have completed the Small Works Roster application, have met all of the requirements, and have been approved.

Roster Registration

The City will run an annual legal advertisement inviting vendors to register or renew their status on the Roster.  [Legal Ad for FY 23/24 Small Works Roster Registration is scheduled to run 04/16/23, 05/14/23 and 06/18/23.]

Contractors and Vendors desiring to be on the Roster for the City of Great Falls are encouraged to submit the completed Small Works Roster Application [found under "Supporting Documents" at the bottom of this webpage] and the following supporting documentation via email to:  smallworksroster@greatfallsmt.net; mail:  City of Great Falls, Attention: Small Works Roster, P.O. Box 5021, Great Falls, MT  59403; or hand-delivered:  2 Park Drive South, Room 202, Great Falls, MT  59401:  

  • ​Insurance, naming the City as additionally insured on City-owned and operated properties and projects
  • Proof of worker's compensation coverage and/or independent contractor exemption certificate
  • Proof of all applicable and required contractor, business and state licenses
  • A minimum list of three references
  • List of similar projects completed within the last two years
  • Current W9
  • To expedite processing, Vendors are welcome, but not required, to submit a completed Small Works Roster Contract [found under "Supporting Documents" at the bottom of this webpage] to be kept on file for the current Roster year.

To remain current on the Roster, vendors will need to annually:

  • Complete annual renewal application
  • ​Submit the certificate of insurance to the City's Risk Management Specialist on a yearly basis prior to expiration of the current certificate
  • Keep all contact information up to date
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws
  • Current W9

The effective period for approved, registered Contractors and Vendors will be through June 30th of the respective fiscal year.

The City reserves the right to select an appropriate Contractor or Vendor from the Small Works Roster.
