Roots Revival Gibson Park

The Roots Revival Committee is working with the City Forester and City Parks Manager to secure a variety of trees offering sound barrier, canopy, drought tolerance, fall color, and distinguishing features like cones, needles and leaf shape to be replanted in Gibson Park.

The committee is asking for full tree costs to get and additional #14 Trees planted in our Phase II in Gibson Park. 2024-2025 winter #35 Trees were sponsored by citizens and organizations in and around Great Falls for a spring planting in Gibson Park.

The additional #14 Trees costs and sizes per tree are below.

Donations can be made two ways :

1. Online, via the Peoples Park and Recreation Foundation at https://www.peoplesparkandrec.com. Click the donation tab, and in the notes for the donation please put in 'Roots Revival Tree Fund.' 

A staff liaison will contact you to determine which tree and where that tree has been determined to be planted in Gibson Park once your donation has been processed online.

2. Stop at the Great Falls Park and Recreation Department with cash or check, and the staff will submit your donation to the foundation. Please make checks payable to the People Park and Recreation Foundation~ note 'Roots Revival Tree Fund.' 

Drop off donations will be able to select their tree/location if available that day.

 

Starting, Monday, December 2nd ,a map will be available online here to see the tree planting layout.

Tree categories, sizes, costs and planting

 

Can't afford the full cost of a tree? In the donation notes, type: 'Support Tree Fund.' All donations are appreciated!

 

Plaques will not be placed at each tree. 'A Donor Plaque' for all trees planted will be placed once the project has been completed.
