General Facility Rules

General Facility Use:

0-7 years of age must have an adult in water with them

8-11years of age must have an adult (16+ ) on the pool deck

11 and under are not allowed in weight room/cardio equipment

12+ must have an adult with them in weight/cardio area

 

This facility is designed and available for all ages and abilities. Discrimination against any fellow patrons or staff members will not be tolerated. 

There is no public restroom available in the facility.

To enter the facility you must have a membership, be registered for a program, or have purchased a day pass for that specific calendar date.

Food and drink, except water, is only permitted in the lobby area and party rental spaces.

Change back on purchases cannot exceed $20.00.  Checks can not be over written for cash or refunds.  Staff are not able to make change. 

All ages are welcome, young adults/children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an paying adult.

Please respect your fellow patrons by not monopolizing certain machines. Do not leave personal items on chairs or benches to claim space if you are not physically present and using that equipment.

Ear buds, headphones etc. are to be used when listening to your personal devices.

Full facility rentals for birthdays, etc. are only permitted after normal facility hours.

Staff has the right to close or limit access to fitness, classrooms, natatorium, locker rooms etc. In case of emergency, follow all guidance by staff in these situations.

Patrons must be completely out of the building at closing time.

Fitness Area:

Those 11 years of age and under are not allowed to use the fitness/weights area.

Those 12-16 years of age may use the fitness/weights area if they have an adult with them.

Please clean your equipment after each use.  Sanitary wipes are available throughout the facility.

Lockers:

Day use lockers are provided. You can bring your own lock or purchase a lock from the Welcome Desk.

Great Falls Park and Recreation and Scheels Aim High Big Sky are not responsible for lost or damaged items, and encourage locking personal items in day use lockers provided. 

All locks must be emptied by facility closing.  Any locks remaining on the lockers after hours will be cut off, and any personal items will be put in lost and found. 

Programs/Classes:

Preregistration for fitness classes, aqua aerobics and specialty classes is encouraged.

Anyone with a membership or punch card can preregister for classes online or at the Welcome Desk. 

Please call or cancel online if you are unable to attend a class with limited attendance that you preregistered for. 

A minimum average of 6 participants is required for every class including water aerobics.

Class schedules will be evaluated based on attendance and demand each quarter.

Only water is allowed in the fitness classes please keep other drinks and snacks to the lobby area.

Fitness multipurpose space will be open during non-scheduled classes. This space is for working out and instructors will be utilizing the space 15 minutes prior to the start of their classes.

Sauna:

Limit sauna time to 15 minutes.

Sauna is turned off 30 minutes prior to closing. Please plan accordingly.

Water to drink is the only beverage allowed in the sauna.

Swimsuits, shorts, etc. must be worn in the sauna. Hot suits/weight loss outfits will not be permitted.

Lifeguards will be checking the sauna on rotations. They will be opening the door checking the entire space for emergencies.

Children 12 and older can be in the sauna for 15 minutes maximum and only if with a responsible adult. 

Bring a towel to sit on.

Natatorium:

Patrons must follow all whistles and commands from lifeguards at all times.

Lifeguards are on deck to prevent and respond to emergencies. They are not babysitters and are not there to provide supervision for your child. Please refer to age requirements below.

Children 0-7 must have an adult (16 or older) in the water with them at all times.  That adult must be within arms' reach of the child. 

Children 8-11 must have an adult (16 or older) no farther than the pool deck.

Swim diapers must be worn for those who require that additional assistance. Swim diapers and are available for purchase at the Welcome Desk.

Only facility provided clear inner tubes are allowed in the lazy river. 

Two (2) lap lanes will be available during normal operational hours for lap swimming. Note: during swim meets, lap lanes will not be available.

Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are approved for use. This includes puddle jumpers. An approved/not approved document is available at the Welcome Desk for clarification on items. Please check with staff before purchasing.

Goggles, swim caps, masks, fins, and snorkels are available for purchase at the Welcome Desk. Once purchased, staff are not responsible for lost items/damaged/stolen items.

Kick boards and pull buoys are available on the lap pool deck.

Kick boards and pull buoys are not permitted in the Rec Pool unless for swim lessons or water aerobics.

Underwater hockey is not permitted either pool.

To reserve a lap lane please speak with a customer service representative at the Welcome Desk.

Lifeguards will whistle to signal 30 minute warning of facility closing time. 

Patrons must exit the pools 15 minutes prior to closing time of the facility.
