Great Falls, Montana – Flying Fish Swim Club - Are you a regular lap swimmer, or are you wanting to find a group to swim with? Join in on a swimming workout on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 6:00am – 7:00am at the Aquatic and Recreation Center at 900 29th St. S. This is a lap swim program for adults, regardless of swimming ability. Varied workouts are provided each day for both new lap swimmers and for those who swim regularly. Memberships or day passes are required to participate. Equipment is provided. You’ll just need to bring your own suit, towel, and goggles. Adopt-A-Park Meeting - If you are interested in learning more about the Adopt-A-Park Program, or how you can support City parks and the River’s Edge Trail through volunteering, please consider attending this meeting. It will be held on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:30pm -6:30pm at the Great Falls Park and Recreation Office at 1700 River Drive N. Current Adopt-A-Park volunteers as well as Park Board Members will be available to answer questions, discuss the program and future projects, and share how volunteers can help. Great Falls Aquatic and Recreation Center Open House – Mark your calendar! The Aquatic and Recreation Center is hosting an open house on Thursday, November 13th, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. This open house will offer information about Rec. Center classes, upcoming events, and facility amenities. In addition, Spine Sport and Therapy, which includes a licensed physical therapist, will be available to provide information on their services. The open house will also include demo fitness classes for attendees to try, a waterslide contest, prize drawings, chair massages, and light refreshments.
