Easter Egg Hunt
Great Falls, Montana – The City’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back again this year, thanks to Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz of Steel Etc.
The family friendly event will be held Saturday, April 19. This year the hunt will be in Elks Riverside Park at 11 a.m., but plan to arrive no later than 10:45 a.m.; it’s always fun no matter what the weather!
The Hunt will feature eggs filled with candy, coins and special prizes. The Easter Egg Hunt age divisions include: 1 - 3, 4 - 6 and 7 - 9. Jim and Sue Sargent will be playing the music and entertaining families. The Easter Bunny will be there to get some great Easter photos!
The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation would like to thank Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. for making this Easter tradition possible for the eleventh year with their generous financial donation. When the event was in danger of being canceled twelve years ago due to a loss in funding, Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. stepped forward and offered to pay all expenses associated with the Easter Egg Hunt. It is only because of their generous annual support, that Park and Recreation has been able to continue a long standing tradition and significantly improve what was an already great event. Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. are outstanding community members. They graciously fund all of the expenses of the Easter Egg Hunt, but it is just a small part of their on-going support and philanthropic efforts throughout the community.
Steel Etc. is a local Great Falls business that provides new steel products and recycling services, and is located at 1408 52nd St. No. (761-4848, www.steeletc.com).
We would also like to thank members of Ameri Corp. for countless hours they spent filling the eggs for the Egg Hunt. Park and Recreation staff feel very fortunate to have such remarkable partners and are proud to host a fabulous Easter Egg Hunt that is enjoyable for the entire family.
