GREAT FALLS FIRE RESCUE FIRE INFORMATION RELEASE

Great Falls, MT – This morning at 11:03, GFFR was dispatched to a working structure fire at 2930 Carmel Drive. Truck 4 arrived on scene at 11:05 to find a fire had vented through the living room window of a split level home. Truck 4 quickly extinguished the fire, keeping it from spreading to the rest of the house. The occupants of the home, were not present at the time of the fire; however, they did have pets inside the house. Two dogs were found deceased, and two cats were found alive. The American Red Cross has been notified and working establishing assistance for the occupants. The home sustained major damage to its main level. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
