Fire Apparatus Access Roads

To assist with the determination of access for Great Falls Fire Rescue’s Engines and Aerial apparatus, the Fire Marshal has developed the following guides to assist developers when planning new developments and projects within the City.  

The Great Falls Fire Rescue Fire Apparatus Access Road and Aerial Fire Apparatus Access are derived from Section 503 Fire Apparatus Access Roads and Annex D Fire Apparatus Access Roads of the 2021 International Fire Code.

These guides shall provide direction for new development within the City of Great Falls, as well as, significant remolding of existing structures.
