A Spoooooky Symphony
Bring your entire family to the Symphony Halloween Party! There will be trick or treats and fun activities for the kids. Everyone is invited to wear their Halloween costumes for this spooky and fun afternoon. The orchestra members will also dress the part to play music that ranges from creepy and somber to magical and magnificent.
Selections from Harry Potter, a medley of John Williams film scores for the first three Harry Potter movies, will transport you into the fantastic world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Go back in time to the most memorable and scary moments from the Philosopher’s Stone, the Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Guest artist Josh Wright plays the diabolical keyboard dazzler Dance of Death by Franz Liszt.
Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor became widely known when Stokowski’s adaptation for orchestra opened Disney’s 1940 cult classic Fantasia. And who can forget Mickey Mouse in his role as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice from the same film?
