City of Great Falls Animal Shelter Announces Participation in Bissell Pet Foundation National Empty the Shelters™ Event
GREAT FALLS, MT, July 9, 2024—The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is excited to announce our participation in the Summer National Empty the Shelters™ event, hosted by BISSELL Pet Foundation. From July 8-31, 2024. During this special event, adoption fees for all cats and dogs at our shelter will be just $20. Please note that adoption fees do not include the cost of a city license for residents within the city limits, which is $45 for a lifetime license.
“This event is an incredible opportunity for the Great Falls community to come together and make a difference in the lives of our shelter pets,” said Laramie Smovir, Operations Manager at the City of Great Falls Animal Shelter. “By adopting a pet during the Empty the Shelters event, you’re not just giving an animal a loving home; you’re also helping to relieve the strain on our shelter and making room for other pets in need.”
Our shelter, like many others, faces numerous challenges, including overcrowding and the need for additional resources to care for our animals. This event, sponsored by BISSELL Pet Foundation, helps alleviate these pressures by reducing adoption fees and encouraging more families to adopt.
We invite everyone in the Great Falls community to take a look at our wonderful animals and consider bringing home a new furry family member. If adoption isn’t an option for you right now, consider sponsoring an adoption for one of our long term animals to help them find their forever home.
