Deputy City Manager Appointment Announced
DEPUTY CITY MANAGER APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED
Great Falls, Montana — Great Falls City Manager Greg Doyon is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy M. Jones as the new Deputy City Manager. With over two decades of dedicated public service and leadership within Great Falls Fire Rescue, Mr. Jones brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to the community he has long served.
Mr. Jones most recently served as Fire Chief for Great Falls Fire Rescue since October 2020, where he led the department through critical advancements in emergency response, public safety, and interagency collaboration. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, fostering community resilience, and building strong partnerships across local, state, and federal levels.
“Jeremy’s proven leadership, collaborative spirit, deep understanding of the community and City operations make him an outstanding choice for Deputy City Manager,” said City Manager Greg Doyon. “He has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, innovation, and public service that aligns perfectly with the City’s mission and values.”
As Deputy City Manager, Mr. Jones will work under the direction of the City Manager, supporting the City’s Executive Team and elected officials. The Deputy City Manager oversees the City Clerk’s Office, the Great Falls Animal Shelter, Civic Center Events, and Neighborhood Council Liaison. The Deputy also oversees strategic initiatives, projects, and assists with daily oversight of city operations. His appointment marks a significant step forward in the City’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance organizational performance.
Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Communications and Business Management from Montana State University-Billings and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Montana. He is also a graduate of Leadership Montana, Class of 2024.
