Press Release - City of Great Falls Appoints Rob Moccasin as the New Neighborhood Council Liaison

GREAT FALLS, Montana - City Manager Greg Doyon is pleased to announce the appointment of retired Great Falls Police Department Captain Rob Moccasin as the City’s new Neighborhood Council Liaison. In this important role, Rob will be responsible for the management, direction, and coordination of the city's nine Neighborhood Councils and the Great Falls Citizen Council.

Rob's primary duties will include providing support to the City’s Neighborhood Councils, by establishing effective communications between the City of Great Falls and its citizens.  The Neighborhood Council Liaison facilitates citizen participation and translating neighborhood concerns to the City.

Mr. Moccasin was previously employed by the Great Falls Police Department.  When he retired on August 2, 2024, Rob was serving as the Investigative Services Captain.  His total service to the GFPD was 30 years.  City Manager Doyon stated that Rob’s law enforcement background brings a unique perspective to the Neighborhood Council Liaison position. 

Doyon stated, “Rob is intimately familiar with the community, its distinct neighborhood areas, and has familiarity with all of the city departments.  His knowledge of the organization will be extremely helpful in his new role.”  Rob shared, “I look forward to working with the Neighborhood Councils and serving each of these communities to address any areas of concern.” 

Rob is excited about providing a fresh perspective to the Neighborhood Council position sharing, “I am excited for the challenges ahead and looking forward to keeping our neighborhoods informed and connected.”
