Injury at Aim High Big Sky
Hello. I was at Aim High Big Sky on July 14, 2024. There was smooth concrete with a dip in it that had water puddling occurring. I was walking extremely carefully and as I took a small step the slippery concrete took my feet our from under me. I landed on the back of my head extremely hard and went briefly unconscious. When I came to...my partner had to tell the lifeguards to come help. They let me get up and walk before checking me out and gave me an ice pack. I was seriously injured. I had to call someone to pick me up and take me to the ER and they let me walk out of the building without assuring I was safe to walk. At the ER I was diagnosed with a closed head injury as well as whiplash. The lifeguards told me people had slipped there before and that they were "ordering mats" for the slippery areas. This was no fault of my own and I now have damage to my neck and head and will have to follow up with orthopedics as the injury heals to see if there is lasting damage. I would like to be contacted by the parks department or the person in charge. This was a serious event that could have resulted in me losing my life or having brain or spinal damage.
