At the South end of Gibson Park pond, on the West side of the concession stand, one of your domesticated ducks has been hiding in that little outcropping of shrubs /trees for the past several days and nights. It appears to be injured and/or sick.

Thank you for getting back to me. I also noticed there's a dead duck floating in the pond nearby where the injured duck is hiding. I'll call FWP Region 4, here in Gt. Falls, tomorrow morning to follow up & see if they're going to be able to assist the injured duck & I'll also tell them about the dead duck that's floating in the pond--figured I better also tell you, though; as I'm not sure which agency (Parks 'n Rec or FWP) is responsible for removing the dead duck from the pond(?).

Hello Susan,

Thank you for reaching out about the water fowl at Gibson Pond. We are unfortunately not able to treat the animals, as they are protected. I will reach out to FWP on this, but just for future reference you are also welcome to contact the local FWP with any concerns with water fowl.

Thank you,

Sarah
