Hello! My Name is Destini Everly and I am working hand in hand with Open Door Church, a relatively new church to the area. We would like to host a large “used things we want gone” sale with fellow random community members. They would come to the location, pay a slot fee of $15.00, and then set up their tables and stuff for sale in their assigned spots. Anyone is welcome to buy and sell. Every penny of the slot fees will be used towards the church as they are in the midst of moving to a new location. I would like to know what I need from you as the event organizer to ensure we do this legally and safely for the patrons and sellers. Profits the Sellers receive stays with them, it’s as if they were having their own garage sale, but this time there’s competition, more people, advertising, and a small fee to support the cause. Please get back to me with requirements, places we may do this, and how much it will cost. We are hoping to do this event July 29th, a Saturday. Although anytime before end of August would work.

Thank You for your time, and have a wonderful day!

Best regards,
Destini Everly

Hello Destini,

Unfortunately, we do not allow the practice (and/or events) of buy/selling in our City Parks. Might I suggest contacting the Montana Expo/Fairgrounds? I know alot of local organizations use their facilities to host similar events like what you are trying to have.

Thank you,

Sarah
