Is there any way to top pond at Gibson Park can be cleaned out… the last few days. I walked around the park and there’s like a slimy grudge on top of the water on the pond. And it smells especially in the early evening. I don’t think it’s very healthy for the birds to be swimming in water that smells… seems like on the north and south ends of the pond is where everything gathers dead leaves, branches trash, etc. I appreciate everything that you do for the park. It actually really does look great this summer but that pond is an eyesore. thank you for your time. Appreciate you reading this and hopefully you can get something done over at the pond at Gibson Park.

Hi Yvonne,

Thank you for your message. Just a quick note to let you know. We have treatment of the pond on our schedule.  We are planning on doing that in the next few weeks as resources allow.  In the meantime, we are trying to skim the surface for vegetation and other debris to keep as much material out of the water as possible.  Please call if you have any questions.
