Private Wells in City Limits

Good Morning,

I have a project with GFPS coming up where we might be installing irrigation wells on school property and I was wondering if there are any restrictions on water wells within city limits, and if so, how do we go about getting them permitted?

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Thank You,

Mike Shirley

Thank you for contacting us with your question.  Per City Code 17.56.5.010.11, irrigation wells are allowed within the City.  An irrigation system that is connected to a well cannot also be connected to the City’s Public Water Supply system!  For permitting questions, please contact our Planning and Community Development office at (406)455-8436.
