Good morning,

I’m not sure if I’ve contacted the proper facility but I have a concern I’m hoping can be addressed. Austin Hall has a large elderly population, to include my 70 year old mother. They have the only elevator down for “service” for weeks. This unit is four stories, with people who rely on walkers/canes on all floors. It is not feasible for those to hike up and down four stories with their walker!

I’m hoping to get in touch with the proper department that can assist in addressing this concern. There needs to be an alternative, is there not ADA requirements?

The building official and I both spoke to the Housing Authority on the matter. They informed us of the status of the repair as well as the notifications they have sent to tenants. The Housing Authority said they will reach out to you directly to provide an update on the matter. Please let me know if you don't hear from them, or you can reach out to them directly by calling 406-453-4311.
