Hello and good day,

We are working with the Home Depot located at 1500 MARKET PLACE DR. on resurfacing asphalt areas. One item under review is the pavement markings under the lumber / pro area canopy. Wanted to inquire if there are any local ordinances / regulations regarding parking / loading under canopies that we should be aware of when re-painting after paving?

Matt – Thanks for reaching out. There are no provisions specific to canopies, but you will want to conform to the standards within our parking chapter (I provided a link below). There is an item related to restriping which calls out that accessible spaces. Do you have a preliminary striping plan that you can pass along?

17.36.1.030 - Applicability.

D. Restriping. When a parking area is restriped, accessible parking spaces shall be marked and designated consistent with this Chapter.
