Information on your donation program
I lived in Great Falls longer than I lived anywhere else and still visit often since I sold my house there to my son. I now spend a lot of my time in Pahrump NV and I am the Chair of the Pahrump Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. I have some questions about the donation program you have for parks.
On my last trip up there, last month, I spent several hours at the dog park and along the Rivers Edge Trail and noticed again that most of the items were donated...including the vault toilets! I printed out your information and presented it to our County Commission/Town Board who seems to be receptive to us starting such a program. My degree is in Recreation and I worked in it in the AF, including there, so I know that public support is very important to the success of these programs.
My first goal is to identify suppliers of the items we would recommend be available for donation. I love the concrete benches but am having trouble locating a supplier for them. The only one I have found so far is in Indiana and shipping is prohibitive. I am reaching out to local landscape companies that might provide sources but thought I would check with you on where you purchase yours from.
Any information you can provide on your program backing up what is available online would be greatly appreciated.
