Urban chickens question

Hello,
I was just wondering if there is has been any movement on the urban chickens ban since 2017. I know the population and demographics of Great Falls has changed significantly in 2020 and 2021 with new people moving in from different states. I was wondering if this can be put up for a vote on any upcoming ballots? I know that not everyone has room in their city properties to safely house chickens but most homes in our area have a quarter acre for a back yard which is plenty of room for a few chickens. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Good Afternoon Sarah,

No movement has been made since the last failed ballot measure. There was a young couple going around Neighborhood Councils to try and build grassroots support for a subsequent ballot initiative. They were tied to the Air Force base and realized the process would take longer than the time they would be stationed here. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Regards,
