Hi

I was wondering if you have any information on a food poisoning incident or what really happened to a Mr. Richard Mens? He was visiting his relatives in Great Falls, Montana, and supposedly got food poisoning after having dinner in a restaurant. Shortly after this incident, he died. This must have happened sometime last week, 1-7 of August.

Mr. Mens was a lawyer from Ghana and was handling an inheritance case of my fiance Ms. Vonetta Johnson in London, UK. He had a court appointment on the 8th of August but did not show up. After he did not show up, Ms. Johnson tried to contact him on his cell phone. A relative of Mr, Mens answered the call and gave Ms. Johnson the bad news.

If you have any questions please contact me.

Thank you.

Hi there

Thank you for replying.

However, I don't see why this case would be a scam?

Mr. Mens and Ms. Johnson have been to court already a few times. This time the new court date was a bit later than then the other times. So Mr. Mens decided to visit his relatives in Great Falls Montana.

After he did not show up to meet with Ms. Johnson, she called his cell phone and got a relative of Mr. Mens. This is how she found out that he had food poisoning and shortly after died.

Our question is simple. Did such a case occur? If it really happened then the police of Great Falls should know about it?

I am sure that in Mr. Mens briefcase you can find documents that he represented Ms. Johnson in court here in London, UK.

So we are wondering why this would be a scam?

Thank you.

Zeljko Merislavic, thank you for contacting us.  It sounds like this may be a possible scam.  Please have Ms. Vonetta Johnson contact her local law enforcement for further assistance.
