I was downtown last Friday to go have lunch. The Parking Kiosk nearest to where I parked was not working. I telephoned the number on the kiosk and was instructed to use a different kiosk. There was another person who was trying to use the kiosk. It was taking her a long time because the kiosk would not accept her card. She said she had tried to download the app on her phone and it did not work properly. She finally put some coins in and said she hoped she could get her business done quickly as she did not have more money for the "meter". She wished me luck and was on her way. When I tried to use the Kiosk, it would not accept my card either. I had to borrow cash in order to pay for parking. It took 26 minutes to pay for parking. It was raining outside and the temperature was 41 degrees, which made for a cool damp downtown experience that was not enjoyable. Had my lunch companion and I been on a one hour lunch break, there is no way we would have been able to have lunch downtown.

Nadine - Sorry to hear about your experience. I passed long your comments to Craig Raymond, Director of Planning and Community Development, who oversees the parking program. He said he will look into it and reach out to you.

Thank you,

Lonnie HillĀ
