I contacted Montana Shakespeare in the Parks to see when they would be in Great Falls. I received a phone call advising me that Great Falls was not on their tour schedule for 2022, but I could drive to Conrad or Fort Benton.

“Someone,” in Great Falls, failed to respond to their request for sponsorship.

In the past Montana Shakespeare in the Parks has been sponsored by one of your organizations; Gibson Park, University of Providence Theatre, and Giant Springs State Park.

I am assuming that one or all of your organizations were contacted by Montana Shakespeare in the Parks regarding a date for the 2022 season.

Those communities, who sponsored Montana Shakespeare in the Parks in 2022 are given the first opportunity for a 2023 date. It appears that Great Falls may not have an opportunity to enjoy Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for a LONG TIME into the future.

Great Falls MUST make sure that this SNAFU does not happen again, EVER, into the future.

If Great Falls must grovel to secure a 2023 or 2024 date then groveling it is. The 3 of you must figure it out.

Sincerely,
Randall Knowles, President
