I am a tax preparer and have my Home Occupation License. How come my friend runs a jewelry business via Facebook, but tells me she is not required to have a license to do so out of her apartment? I have seen her inventory she stores in a hallway.

Anyone operating a business within the City limits likely needs a business license. It is possible this individual has not engaged with out office. You can have them call Planning and Community Development for more information at 455-8430 or you can file a Citizen's Complaint Form at the following webpage.
