There have been people living in a camper/motorhome on 17th street between 20th Ave S and 21st Ave S. They were on the east side and have moved to the west side of 17th street. They have been there a little over a month now and I have called about two weeks back. There is also a ford ranger full of trash which is associated with these folks parked on the east side of 17th street. This vehicle has not moved now for over a week. With the arrival of these folks traffic of all kinds of characters at all hours of day and night has picked up substantially. I would not be surprised if drugs are moving through here.

Shaun McGuire, I am sorry, but we do not take police reports via this forum. Please call Dispatch (406-727-7688, Option 5) and file your complaint.  They will start a case number and it will go through the established process in order for our JAVA (Junk/Abandoned Vehicle Abatement) Unit to address the issue. The dispatcher will want to know the address it is parked in front of, as well as the color, type of vehicle/camper (RV, pull, slide-in), make, and license plate if available. They will also want to know if the vehicle looks operable (flat tires, engine missing, etc.).

Your complaint goes into a queue, then goes through a tagging and waiting period (sometimes two, depending on the nature of it), before it can be towed away as an abandoned vehicle. This gives the owner fair notice to resolve the issue before their vehicle gets seized.

The motorhome moved back to the east side of 17th street and is now on the corner of 17th and 20th ave south. The abandoned ford ranger is still in the same spot. Thank you.
