Good Morning . Our Home Owner Association has a meeting this coming Monday where as someone is trying to push a vote to allow chickens.
I believe that are not permitted within Great Falls City. But all I can find in searching thru City Commission minutes is Ordinance 3069 from 2011 allowing up to 6 chickens with a license.
Is it possible for someone to email the current standing on this subject. I believe this topic was just recently brought up again and denied.

Good Morning Roberta - generally speaking, the City does not allow chickens within the city limits. The only exception to that is those properties which are 1 acre and larger located within the R-1 (rural residential) zoning district. That is where there are some minor exceptions to livestock prohibitions in the city.  See the Official Code of the City of Great Falls (OCCGF) 6.1.010CC and 6.1.150C.
