I am a probation and parole officer in Helena. I had an offender that was on GPS and was arrested in Great Falls. At the time he was absconded. when he was arrested he did not have his GPS on . He reported today, to a PO in Great Falls that he does not know where the GPS unit is. I have the restitution paperwork that shows the unit is worth $2,349.00. Typically in Helena I just send the restitution paperwork and the individual gets charged with felony theft. The individuals name is Kaylob Garfield and he's currently in the Cascade Co. jail.
