I have some concerns that the Crime Task Force recommendations are not broad based and primarily reflect the personal agendas of Commissioner Tryon and Sheriff Slaughter. It seems that addressing mental health issues and drug treatment should be given greater priority. I do not object to more taxes for community safety if efforts can address root causes and not just a 'tough on crime' agenda.
