4th of july parade

I have a lot of concern about the 4th of July parade being on Sunday. Every year it has been on a Saturday. Saturday is the best time to do it because your not interfering with church on Sunday. A lot if church's will be having services on the 4th. I'm upset at this decision. Whoever made it. We need it back to Saturday. I've talked to multiple people about it and they won't go if it's on a Sunday as well. What can we do to change this? It needs to be different or my family and others won't go at all. Ms. Cronin, 

Thank you for your concerns.  The parade is organized by an outside organization called "The Great Falls 4th of July Parade Committee".  Lola Galloway is the coordinator for this group. They have always held the parade on the 4th of July no matter what the day is.  They are also coordinating the parade with local organizers to hold a concert to follow so at this point they may not be willing to change the date.    You are welcome to contact Lola Galloway at 727-4963 or Terry Bailey at 799-1091.  Thank you, Krista
