Hello!

I had a question regarding gopher control in the park. I think the population has gotten out of control and I would like to know if we could work on a solution such as introducing more prey birds like owls by installing owl boxes in the surrounding trees. Is this something we can do? I would love to volunteer my time as well. Thank you for your time.

Hello Tatiana,

We are aware of the gopher issue in Grande Vista park and have added it to the list of parks for treatment control.  We would not have the authorization to give you permission to introduce the use of prey birds within City parks. This type of permission would fall under the control of Game and Fish.
