Excessive Speeding

Good evening. Over the last couple months there has been a definite increase in people excessively speeding through our neighborhood, 36th & 4 St NE. We don’t need a radar detector to know their speed is excessive, WELL ABOVE the 25 MPH limit. There are large amounts of children, people walking and even pets throughout this area and we have a high concern that someone will be hurt or worse killed by one of these vehicles speeding down these roads. We understand the police department doesn’t have the manpower to sit in every neighborhood but we are wondering what options are available. Can stop signs be added along the intersections to force them to stop vs having a long road to speed through? Can road bumps be installed to keep these people from hitting high rates of speed in the neighborhood? We don’t want a serious situation to occur due to someone’s negeligance and felt a sense of urgency to reach out and ask these questions before something happens. What options are available to help in reducing this risk? Thank you in advance.
