A wacky question

My husband and I spent last weekend there for our Anniversary. We loved the Charlie Russell Museum, the Roe River, and of course, the Sip and Dip. While walking from the Arvon to the Sip and Dip on Central Avenue, there were speakers playing songs from the 1980's. Now I LOVE songs like Richard Marx's "Don't Mean Nothing," but it did seem like an odd choice. I was just wondering who chooses those songs and didn't know who else to ask.
