Subject: Current Police Department Patch

Dear Chief of Police

I am requesting a police department patch from your agency for framing. Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a retired police investigator with the State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission Bureau of Enforcement. I sustained a permanent line of duty injury during an assault which led to a LOD/Medical retirement in 2007.

As a result of that LOD/Medical retirement I have taken up the hobby of collecting police patches from various departments and framing them for my private collection. Your department patch will not be traded, sold, or used in any dishonorable way. It will be properly given the honor and respect your department deserves.

Please consider my request Chief to place one of your department patches in my private collection and keep my hobby going.

Thank you again and be safe,

Timothy D. Copeland

State Police Investigator-Retired
