Tree limb disposal

What are the chances of putting out a collection station for people to bring downed branches from this past storm. I think that would be a great idea. I personally don’t know what to do with my branches but let them lay in the alley. Would be like you do with Xmas tree collection and would make great mulch for our parks.

I knew the city wouldn’t help out. They bail as usual. No wonder this town looks like crap. Let’s bring this subject to the commissioners. The mayor. Whoever. Cop outs.

Leonard,

We can not put out containers for the downed branches because we would get all other types of garbage placed in these containers.  If you are on City Sanitation for garbage you can cut the branches in four foot lengths and tie in small bundles to be picked up as extras on your regular pick up day.  The Xmas tree collection is no longer in service because of the garbage put inside of these containers as well.  Park & Rec only collects the branches from the boulevard district areas.

Thanks,

Debbie Kimball, Public Works
