There has been a vehicle parked outside of our building for months now. It makes it hard to get into the driveway.

Patty Sowers, thank you for contacting us. I am sorry, but we do not take police reports via this forum. Please call Dispatch at 406-727-7688, Option 5. The dispatcher will want to know the address it is parked in front of, as well as the color, type of vehicle, make, and license plate if available. They will also want to know if the vehicle looks operable (flat tires, engine missing, etc). Dispatch will start a case number and send the information to our Volunteer Coordinator/ volunteers.
Your complaint goes into a queue, then goes through a tagging and waiting period (sometimes two, depending on the nature of it) before it can be towed away as an abandoned vehicle. This gives the owner fair notice to resolve the issue before their vehicle gets seized.
