I live on 4th Ave N and 9th street. This year I have seen so many cars almost hit people in the crosswalk there. Last night one car had stopped and a child, thinking the other side would stop as well, ran out into traffic. Luckily the mother grabbed her and the car slid to a halt. People speed down this road as if they are on a highway and not a residential area. Is it possible to do a traffic study on the benefits of a light here? I believe the crossgaurd for the Whittier school would appreciate it also. He seemed invisible to many cars as well this school year. 4th ave N is part of the bike trail and sees a lot of foot traffic , I think a light would be appreciated by many pedestrians.
