I worked in the storm water industry for 18 years doing a lot of inspections. To keep from getting a back injury from lifting heavy manhole covers I went to my shop and built a lifter. It worked so well I decided to market it. I now have a line of tools for lifting manhole covers and catch basin grates. My lifters are also used for lifting Contech Storm Water covers. I now have tools in Wa. Ore, Cal, Tex, Florida and Virginia.
