Hello,
Researching on Ancestry.com I see a 1911 City Directory names my grandfather, Fred Sauls as City Marshall as occupation. Is there any more information you may have or point me in the right direction? My grandmother vaguely mentioned one time that he was a person trusted at the time but didn't know more than that.

Great Falls was incorporated in 1888 as Great Falls, I do not believe the city was ever named Cascade City as mentioned if the article you reference.

History Museum of Great Falls may be a good resource for you.  Thanks and good luck on your search. Krista

Mr. Sauls

Our records show

1900-1905 was Benjamin Cook

1905-1917 was Robert Pontet

as the City Marshal/Chiefs.  The Police Department doesn't have any pictures from 1911 so if you find a picture during your search they could possibly assist better.  Lt. Doug Mahlum would be the contact and can be reached at dmahlum@greatfallsmt.net.  Good luck in your search.  Krista
