Nuisance Animal / Animal Abuse
To whom it may concern,
I have resided at 2325 14th Ave. S, Apt. #45 since mid-July. For most of that time, the tenants in unit #44 regularly lock their dog alone in their apartment and leave it unattended. Nearly everyday for most of the day, the dog can be heard barking, whining, whimpering, crying, and rummaging around. On at least three occasions, I've heard a male (presumably the male tenant) verbally threaten and abuse as well as physically abuse the animal.
I have records of emails I've delivered to JK Realty & Property Management describing the nuisance and abuse. These emails provide a general description of the problem but also record in more detail a few of the instances of abuse. I began keeping a barking log of the animal's behavior yesterday, September 10th.
I'd appreciate if I could receive some guidance from the Animal Control unit on what the proper way forward is for me to formally and correctly document the nuisance and abusive behavior and report it to the authorities.
