Resident failing to properly dispose of household garbage

We own the house at 3205 13th Ave South. Our neighbors who reside at 3201 13th Ave South are very elderly and incapable of taking their daily household garbage to the shared dumpsters in the alley. Instead, they simply pile all of their household garbage on their back patio, where it is not only unsightly, but produces a stench that we can smell in all areas of our yard and house. Not only is the smell unbearable, we are concerned about the health hazard this poses as all of this garbage decomposes in the high temperatures we are experiencing.

We have already contacted Adult Protective Services regarding this issue but nothing has been done as of today. We are reaching out to the City in an effort to get this resolved as soon as possible. We are not attempting to condemn these people because they are a nice elderly couple, rather we are concerned about their health and welfare and the fact that they may need help and assistance with the daily task of taking their garbage to the alley.

Good morning Bryan and thank you for your online concern on a property. I am emailing you the required Citizen Form to be completed and signed, I can then also contact the c/o individual for the property and bring this concern to them as well. I left you a voicemail with the non-emergency number to Police Dispatch for you to ask them to do a welfare check on the couple.
