My son in law was at the pool with my 3 year old grandson using the lazy river(?). Grandson was on dads lap as were many other toddlers. Lifeguard told my son in law my grandson had to be on his own tube so he put him on one and he fell into the water. My son in law jumped in after him and put him back on his lap. Lifeguard again tells my son in law my grandson can’t be on his lap. My son in law got upset and was thrown out of the pool. What is the exact policy for a child to be on a parents lap? I think the circumstances at the time should have allowed it. Son in law says he feels he was targeted since other parents were having children on their laps.
I will not give out any names just want some clarification. Son in law says never going back

Good Morning Ms. Sears,

I am sorry to hear about your son-in-laws unpleasant experience at the Electric City Water Park.  Since I am not sure which part of the Lazy River your son-in-law was in, here is some general information in regards to your inquiry of where parents can and cannot have their children in their laps in the Lazy River at the Electric City Water Park. There is a section/ part of the Lazy River that is called the deep flow channel. In this section of the Lazy River children are not allowed to ride in parents laps, and there are no exceptions in this section. The rest of the Lazy River parents are allowed to have their children in their laps as long as the child is wearing a life jacket.  Please let me know if you have any further questions and I hope that we might be able to resolve this so that you and your son-in-laws family can continue to enjoy the benefits of the ECWP.

Sincerely,

Sarah
