I hope you realize there are people who can not swim outside due to sun exposure issues. I know for the last few years you have closed the Natatorim the entire month of August for maintenance. But, now you have no open swimming for July? I'd rather go free to Belt creek than to pay to use your public swimming pools. the only one you did have I would use is the Natotrium and you have taken that option off the table. I'm so disappointed in this city and the way you run things. I won't be using any of your pools this summer nor any time in the future. I hope things change for our city soon because it is going downhill at an alarming rate.

Good Afternoon Teresa - your comments have been shared with the City Commission and appropriate staff for consideration.  The Park and Recreation Department does sympathize with people who have issues with sun exposure and would like to be able to provide more services at the Natatorium.  Unfortunately, due to budget restrictions, the Park and Recreation Department is unable to support many of the programs that are offered during the rest of the year.  This change has been in place since the summer of 2015.  The only programs at the Natatorium in July are swimming lessons and one session each of water aerobics and aquatic solutions.  The reduced schedule is based strictly on the ability to fund operations at the Natatorium.
