Maintenance District to supplement current funding and create a sustainable funding source for
the purposes of providing the park and recreation system services including:

The recommendation was for the formation of "...a Citywide Parks Maintenance District." However, the resolution of intent passed was for the formation of a City-Wide Park District. Was this just a wording mix-up or will the funds generated by this new tax go to other improvements AND maintenance? Myself and a few others are confused as to exactly what these funds will be used for. Or is there something else going on here that I'm totally off-base on?

Many thanks in advance for your continued responses to my questions. I know how frustrating it can be to hold countless meetings and then only field questions when the vote comes to fruition. Such is the nature of people. Thanks again!

Park district funds can be used for parks, forestry and trails for staff, operations and capital improvements.   Funds can also be used for maintenance/improvements to recreation and aquatics facilities.  District funds can not be used for programming.
