Hello>> I am a student that is attending the Aqua Zumba every Thursday at the Natotorium... I would like for your department to be aware of the issues that are happening while attendance... I have witnessed the kids that are there prior to the Aqua Zumba be rude to the instructor and walk behind her..while she is teaching,, and especially when they had their potluck going on during a class (which I found and thought to be a very inapproiate time),, why couldn't this potluck be done on a different night or time.... the Kids and adults that were there for their potluck were mocking the instructor and pointing to other class participants in the pool and laughing.. (I find that very rude and obnoxious behavior, and the parents were doing nothing to stop these kids from doing this).... There are have many times.,..while I am in the locker room getting ready for the Aqua Zumba class ,, the kids in the locker room are being very rude and loud and I hear the parents hollering at their kids from the foyer to hurry up.... (very rude) .... The instructor for the Aqua Zumba Class is very nice and upbeat and does a great job teaching the class and all her classes have full (with 25-30 in attendance).... and everyone that attends the Aqua Zumba Class is having a great/fund time. So.. I have heard that Aqua Zumba is going to be put on suspension,,which I feel is a terrible decision to be making and there will be others that will be extremely disappointed ( as I am),,, I find the Aqua Zumba an excellent way to exercise without putting the stress on my joints and the class times works out extremely well for my work schedule.... So,, Please take into consideration about the many class participants that will be very disappointed....I really feel that the Park & Recreation Department really needs to re-evaluate their decision on this.

I forwarded your concern to Marian Permann, Aquatic Supervisor and she offered the following.

In response to your letter written on April 18th.  We are aware of the situation with the Falls Aquatic Swim Team and have taken steps to resolve this situation and make it work for everyone.  I went back through our records and the actual number of participants in aqua zumba averages out to about 18.  We are glad that you are enjoying the class and we do apologize for your inconvenience.  It was a difficult decision to make but we have a large number of children and parent/tot lessons and the deck and locker room are filled with all those participants going in and out and we want to avoid any situation that could negatively impact any of our classes.  I thank you for bringing this to my attention, I hope that I have answered all your questions but feel free to contact me at the Natatorium, 452-3733 with any suggestions you may have.  Marian Permann, Aquatic Supervisor.

I would like to add my phone number as a contact on this ... and I would like to have a response back,,whether it be from the park & rec department or the city government... This issue needs a resolvement..
