Neighborhood Council Meetings - July 12-15
Next week, one Neighborhood Council (NC) will be hosting a monthly meeting. Below is a brief summary of the meeting, followed by information on how to file as a Neighborhood Council write-in candidate for the 2021 Municipal Election. Council seats are available in NC2, NC3, NC4, NC5, NC8, and NC9. Please note, several NC's have suspended their regular meetings during the summer months. Special Meetings are called if required.
Neighborhood Council # 7's (NC#7) monthly meeting takes place on Monday, July 12, at 7:00 pm in the Civic Center Gibson Room. Agenda items* include NeighborWorks Permanent Supportive Housing Tax Credit Project, Ice Cream Social, committee reports, and neighborhood concerns. Neighborhood Council #1's (NC#1) has suspended meetings during the summer months and will resume regular meetings on September 14, 2021. NC#1 council members are still accessible if a neighborhood concern arises or a Special Meeting is required. Neighborhood Council # 2's (NC#2) has suspended meetings during the summer months and will resume regular meetings on September 8, 2021. Neighborhood Council #8's (NC#8) has suspended the July meeting and will resume regular meetings on August 19, 2021 with an Ice Cream Social at 6 pm in Memorial Park. NC#8 council members are still accessible if a neighborhood concern arises or a Special Meeting is required. Filing as a Write-in Candidate:
Six Neighborhood Council districts have openings for the upcoming term (January 2022-December 2023). The Write-In Candidate Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy form needs to be submitted to the Cascade County Elections Office by August 30 at 5 pm. Council seats are available in NC2, NC3, NC4, NC5, NC8, and NC9. Below is a link to the Write-In Candidate Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy. Please note, anyone who is running as a write-in candidate will need to self-promote to have people write in their name on the ballot.

In Great Falls, there are currently 9 Neighborhood Councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens of Great Falls by providing a direct link to City government within the neighborhoods. Each Council is made up of 5 members who were elected by the voters in that Council area.
